Juan received the Telecommunications Engineering degree in 2008 and the Phd in Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2015 from the UNC. He currently holds a research position at INRIA and is visiting researcher at the Dependable Systems and Software Group, Saarland University in Germany. He has also being guest professor at Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
His research focuses on spaceborne networking and distributed applications enabled by state-of-the-art informatics techniques. Juan is the founder and chair of the annual Space-Terrestrial Internetworking Workshop (STINT) since 2014. Juan participates in joint projects with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and the Argentinian Space Agency (CONAE) and collaborates with world-renowned space companies and start-ups such as Skyloom (USA), GomSpace (Denmark), D3TN (Germany), and Orbitare (Switzerland).
